Methodology
How we check every price.
Short version: we read the official pricing page, write down exactly what it says, and never fill a gap with a guess.
- Official pages only. Every plan price comes from the tool's own pricing page, opened in a real browser with both "monthly" and "yearly" toggles. We link that page on every tool.
- Verified, partial, unverified. A plan is verified when we read every number we show. It's partial when one number (often the yearly or monthly price) wasn't readable, and unverified when we couldn't read the price at all. Missing numbers show as "unverified" with the reason. We never estimate them. This week: 118 verified, 18 partial, 1 unverified, out of 137 plans.
- Yearly prices are shown per month as the tool displays them (charged up front). Where a page only shows the yearly total, we divide by 12 and say so.
- Deals are listed only if they appear on an official page or a reputable source, with the source linked, the expiry as stated, and the date we checked. First-month deals are labelled so you know they renew at full price.
- Black Friday history uses last year's deals with a labelled source: official, press, deal blog or community.
- Weekly re-checks. Each check adds a dated snapshot to the price history. "What changed" compares this week's snapshot with last week's.
- Affiliate links. Some links are affiliate links; we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links carry
rel="sponsored". A commission never changes a price, a ranking or a pick. Tools without an affiliate program are listed exactly the same way. - Tax and region. Prices are in USD for the US, before tax. Some tools (CapCut, Captions) show reference or app-store prices that can differ at checkout.
- Found an error? Reply to any newsletter issue and we'll fix it in the next check.
